This is the part of the review where I am supposed to give you a basic overview of the plot. The problem is there is no basic overview of this plot. The plot is so choppy and incomprehensible at times I don’t feel as though I can give you a basic overview. If you want to see what I am talking about try and read the plot synopsis that is provided on
imdb.com.
As you can guess by now, I have zero love for this film. The script is boring and as I said before very hard to follow because it makes little or no sense most of the time. Tim Burton spent all of his time trying to create a visual spectacular and he forgot to direct the film or take a look at the script before they started to film. The sad thing is that he did not succeed on creating a visual masterpiece as he tried to do. In my opinion this is one of the worst 3-D films I have seen in this new generation of 3-D film making. The colors are so dull and I thought the visuals were unimpressive. The 3-D effects actually dulled the films colors, if see this film in 2-D you will get a much better visual experience.
The actors seem to be as lost on the screen as the writers must have been when they wrote the script. These actors had little to work with, but they also fell into the same trap as Burton, thinking that the films visuals would save poor and uninspired performances.
Alice in Wonderland is one of the most disappointing films that I have seen in 2010 and one of the worst 3-D films that I have seen. I give Alice In Wonderland 1 out of 5 stars.
