The vivid colors and picturesque animation in Tangled heightens back to Disney’s animation heyday of the 1990’s. While Tangled is a pleasure to watch for its animation, it is taken to the next level by a clever and witty script. When retelling a story that many audience members are familiar with the screenwriters have an unenviable task of making the material seem fresh. Tangled’s writers pull off that task with ease, the film is engaging and will delights audiences young and old from start to finish.

Following up 2009’s Princess and the Frog, Tangled is blessed with a wonderfully fun musical score. The song and dance numbers will be instant sing-a-long classics, and the slower numbers are beautiful. Give Disney credit for passing up some bigger names to bring in voice actors who have real singing ability, the cast led by Mandy Moore delivers on every note.
Tangled with its combination of superb music, well written script, and excellent animation is deserving of being the 50th animated feature film in the history of Walk Disney Pictures. This film brings back memories of, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King. It truly is a film that the entire family can enjoy this holiday season.
