First of all let me point out that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is a good movie and at times a very good movie. However, it is not a great film and that is what moviegoers should expect from this decade long franchise. Where Deathly Hallows Part 1 amazed and mesmerized Part 2 disappointed and underwhelmed. Part 2 starts slowly and takes about 30 minutes to hit its stride. When it does kick into high gear it never slows down and because of this push to be as epic as possible the story suffers. Where Part 1 had a great balance between epicness(Ben's new word of the month) and storytelling, Part 2 did not have the same balance. The characters you have loved for 8 films are still there but there did not seem whole with the rushed storytelling. Even with that said Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is still an enjoyable movie going experience, the filmmakers missed the grand slam but they still hit a solid solo shot.
