There are three candidates for Lexington Mayor in 2010. They are:
| Christopher J. Feider |
 |
|
About Me: Christopher Feider has over three decades of experience in public life including several leadership positions. He has been a college professor, administrator, mentor of teachers, and K-12 educator. He has also been a community volunteer in a number of capacities. Christopher has managed many situations where he has used problem-solving skills and acted as a community builder for successful results. Christopher is a long-time resident of Lexington and has spoken with many neighbors about what kind of community we want to create. He is married, has two children, and enjoys spending time outdoors.
Important Issues: Infrastructure: Lexington currently has a strong financial picture, but in the next few years the City faces some significant infrastructure challenges. We are a small community with a small tax base, so we must be extremely strategic about our spending. Transportation: Residents have expressed a desire to have access to transportation options that serve commuters and people who do not drive. Taxes: We need to keep taxes low, so it is imperative that we find ways to conserve our current resources and adapt to changing circumstances. Lexington must cooperate with nearby communities to leverage existing services. Business Development: The City currently has several spaces available for retail or professional occupancy and we need to be proactive in attracting businesses to locate to Lexington. Seniors: We have a large senior population that the City needs to support as decisions are made.

Political Philosophy: Christopher Feider believes in the importance of collaboration among people with different values, beliefs, and viewpoints. He understands that decisions pushed through by a minority will not serve the public nor will they have lasting effect. Christopher uses dialogue in decision-making and strives to be inclusive and respectful of all people and perspectives. He looks for what is working in a situation and builds on those positive aspects.

Endorsements: Christopher hopes to be endorsed by voters on election day and throughout his term.
