In a continued effort to get a new trial, Elizabeth Hawes’s brother has now issued a sworn statement on her behalf. Last month Elizabeth was convicted of aiding and abetting the first degree murder of her brother Edwin, and sentenced to life in prison.
After being denied a retrial, her brother Andrew, who is also accused of the murder, has now said under oath that he was present during the murder, after the murder he tricked his sister into going to the murder site with him.
Andrew has pled not guilty to the murder, but this new testimony could impact his upcoming trial.
